What belongs here

News and information relevant to Bellingham and Whatcom County: local government, development, business openings and closings, road and transit changes, events, outdoors, community happenings. Personal voice and humor are welcome — the facts underneath them have to be real. Satire is welcome too when it's tagged as satire.

What gets removed

Made-up stories presented as real news. Unverified accusations against private individuals. Doxxing, harassment, hate, or content that exists only to attack someone. Spam, undisclosed advertising, and off-topic content. Removal costs trust score; repeat violations get accounts suspended.

How trust works

New contributors' stories are reviewed before publishing. Approved stories earn trust; stories that stand the test of time earn more. Cross the threshold and your work publishes instantly. Removed stories cost trust.
